Extrusion Blow Moulding
Biobased compostable polymers for single use bottles and containers
Extrusion blown moulding is used to produce hollow parts, such us bottles and containters. In this manufacturing process polymers are melted and extruded into a hollow tube, known as parison. This parison is then captured by closing it into a cooled metal mold. Once the air blows into the parison, the hollow part is shaped. Then, the part needs to be cooled down and finally is ejected.
INZEA® introduces a biopolymer specially developed for extrusion blown moulding that can be processed in conventional lines.
INZEA for food contact applications
Traditionally, blow molding is used for the production of bottles and containers. The final use of them may require Food Contact compliance. The containers produced with INZEA comply with the European Food Products Ordinance (regulation 10/2011)
Thanks to its compostability and biological base content, INZEA biopolymers are the material of choice for any food packaging.
OK COMPOST certification for bottles
Ecofriendly bottles are now possible thanks to INZEA 100% compostable biopolymers. All our INZEA product range has the OK Compost Certification, according to European normative EN 13432.
Single use disposed bottles can be valorized with the organic waste for compost production.
- Ability to mold complex parts
- Biobased content
- Ok Compost
- Food contact
When processing INZEA grades for extrusion blow moulding processing, a melting temperature of 190°C is recommended and the part of the mold must be cold.
